Zierikzee is a true port city and has a rich history. Thus, there are more than 500 (!) monuments in and around the city of Zierikzee to admire. Think for example of the Lutheran Church and the former Civil Orphanage. Especially the Sint Lievensmonstertoren, also known as the 'Dikke Toren' is not to be missed during your visit to Zierikzee. At 62 meters, the 'Dikke Toren' towers above everything else. Tip: climb this tower and enjoy the magnificent view of Zierikzee and the Oosterschelde.
2. Beautiful sights
In addition to the many monuments, there are also beautiful sights that will make your trip to Zierikzee extra fun. For example, go to the Museum Harbour and admire the old ships and ship engines or go to the Stadshuismuseum and learn all about the history of Zierikzee.
3. City walk through Zierikzee
Another fun thing to do: take a city walk through Zierikzee. Zierikzee is a fine city to walk through, even with children. Wander through picturesque streets full of special homes, past beautiful facades and old city gates. Tip: Would you like to rest after all the strolling?
